Hsinchu, Taiwan, July 2, 2025 – An update to Lumens’ CamConnect Pro is expected to accelerate adoption of multi-camera speaker tracking in meeting spaces. The new firmware, announced today, enables extremely accurate zone-based camera tracking when paired with Audio-Technica ATND1061 and Sennheiser TeamConnect ceiling microphones (TCCM and TCC2) and, for the first time, it also enables camera automation in conjunction with Televic’s D-Cerno communication system.
Before CamConnect Pro, multi-camera speaker tracking necessitated bespoke programming and the integration of a variety of control, switching, transmission and processing units. Steven Liang, Head of Product Development at Lumens, commented:
“Lumens CamConnect changed everything. Speaker-tracking configuration and multi-camera room set-up went from days to minutes. Our latest firmware is another significant milestone for automated speaker tracking, with the roll-out of ultra precise zone tracking with Audio-Technica and Sennheiser ceiling microphones, and support for the very popular Televic D-Cerno delegate communication system.”
CamConnect Pro is an auto-switching processor designed for boardrooms, lecture halls and meeting spaces. It dynamically controls multiple cameras, responsively following a discussion. It delivers enhanced meeting equity for remote guests and improves in-room communications. Support for Sennheiser room mapping and Televic conference systems within CamConnect Pro is available to users at no cost with the installation of the latest firmware, available today from the Lumens website.
The update also enables support for Lumens’ new VC-TR61 30x zoom PTZ camera and the Shure P300 audio conferencing processor.
