Lumens Makes Meetings Inclusive with Multi-Voice Framing Mode

March 26, 2025

Hsinchu, Taiwan, March 26, 2025 – Lumens announces that its new multi-voice framing function is now available for the first time in its award-winning VC-TR60A PTZ camera. This new feature enables the camera to capture all the active participants in a discussion using a combination of sound detection and AI-based human detection technologies.

“Voice-framing goes much further than auto-framing by focusing on the guests who are actively participating during the meeting, and not just those who are simply present in the room. The result is a more intelligently framed shot, greatly enhancing the experience of remote guests.” Commented Steven Liang, Head of Product Development at Lumens.

Multi-voice framing has been enabled on the VC-TR60A which features built-in sound detection microphones. In its standard voice-tracking mode, the camera locates and tracks the active speaker, moving intelligently to follow a conversation or presentation involving two or three individuals. Multi-voice framing is more suited to a larger, more open meeting format where multiple participants are involved in discussions.

Multi-voice framing is an inclusive and fully autonomous mode which will enable organizations to deliver an excellent AV experience without the need for user intervention or technical support. VC-TR60A features USB, IP and HDMI outputs giving the installation team maximum flexibility.

Multi-voice framing is available at no cost by updating cameras to the new firmware, ready for download from the Lumens website.VC-TR60A is shipping now and is available from the Lumens global network of distributors.
