Hsinchu, Taiwan, May 23, 2023 – Lumens® Digital Optics Inc. has today announced that Yamaha's RM-CG Ceiling Array Microphone is now supported for its CamConnect™ real-time PTZ voice tracking solution. The certification will instantly transform the hybrid meeting and remote event experience by delivering high-quality audio, and video which focuses automatically on the active speaker in the room.
Today’s remote meeting guests, distance learners and virtual conference delegates expect more. Accordingly, high-quality sound and engaging camera angles are needed to deliver off-premises attendees an enhanced audio-visual experience.
Lumens' CamConnect™ Lite software now pairs with Yamaha's RM-CG Ceiling Array Microphone to track the active speaker visually and acoustically with the in-room PTZ camera. This is based on the accurate, real-time directional data supplied by the microphone array of RM-CG. With the camera focusing on the current audio source, remote guests can better interact and immerse with the meeting and students are more engaged in learning.

Fully automated, CamConnect™ works with Yamaha RM-CG to enhance both in-room and off-premises communication with no user input required. CamConnect™ Lite software can be downloaded at no cost from the Lumens website. The application runs in a standard Windows environment and supports all Lumens USB PTZ cameras.
